Les principales exportations du port de Tanga comprennent le sisal, le caf\u00e9, le th\u00e9 et le coton. Tanga est \u00e9galement un important terminus de chemin de fer, reliant une grande partie de l'int\u00e9rieur du nord de la Tanzanie \u00e0 la mer. Il est entendu que la collecte des d\u00e9chets solides \u00e0 Tanga est actuellement r\u00e9alis\u00e9e suffisamment dans les quartiers centraux mais pas du tout pour les quartiers ext\u00e9rieurs. Il n'y a pas de collecte s\u00e9par\u00e9e des d\u00e9chets biod\u00e9gradables ou compostables. La d\u00e9charge de Mpirani nouvellement construite et ultramoderne (financ\u00e9e par la Banque mondiale en 2018) se trouve \u00e0 environ 20 km de la ville avec des co\u00fbts de transport \u00e9lev\u00e9s. On suppose que les camions d\u00e9chargent les d\u00e9chets ailleurs plus pr\u00e8s de la ville pour r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts de transport et le temps de conduite. Tanga dispose d'une lagune d'assainissement centrale proche de l'oc\u00e9an, mais celle-ci ne traite qu'une petite partie des eaux us\u00e9es de la ville, \u00e0 savoir celles du Central Business District (CBD), soit environ 17%. La plupart des m\u00e9nages sont desservis par des fosses septiques, qui sont cens\u00e9es \u00eatre vid\u00e9es r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notre intervention : <\/strong>Le consortium Tetra Tech COPIP fournit un soutien technique et financier au Conseil municipal de Tanga (TCC) pour mettre en \u0153uvre le \u00ab\u00a0mod\u00e8le vers le z\u00e9ro d\u00e9chet\u00a0\u00bb pour la ville de Tanga. Une \u00e9tude de pr\u00e9faisabilit\u00e9 pour le projet est men\u00e9e par le consortium COPIP. Une visite de site a eu lieu en mars 2021 pour s'engager davantage avec la ville de Tanga sur le projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/copip.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Photo-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-299\" width=\"794\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/copip.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Photo-1-1.png 620w, https:\/\/copip.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Photo-1-1-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/copip.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/Photo-1-1-18x8.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 794px) 100vw, 794px\" \/><figcaption>La d\u00e9charge de Mwang'ombe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Les interventions propos\u00e9es comprennent : &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>D\u00e9velopper un plan d'action pour le Z\u00e9ro D\u00e9chet \u00e0 Tanga.<\/li><li>Am\u00e9nagement d'un bureau et d'une boutique vers le z\u00e9ro d\u00e9chet \u00e0 Tanga.<\/li><li>Application de l'outil Villes sages des d\u00e9chets d'UNHABITAT ou GIZ.<\/li><li>Pr\u00e9parer les 12 quartiers pour une approche communautaire.<\/li><li>Mettre en \u0153uvre un projet pilote en coop\u00e9ration avec la Tanzania Forest Service Agency (TFS) et la KFA (Kenya Forest Association).<\/li><li>Utiliser les for\u00eats de mangroves naturelles comme filtre de r\u00e9tention en plastique et \u00e9tablir un centre de recyclage de bouteilles en plastique avec lavage \u00e0 chaud, \u00e9caillage et production de fibres.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Avantages de notre intervention :<\/strong> Le projet porte sur deux volets, le volet d\u00e9chets et le volet eau et assainissement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Le projet am\u00e9liorera le taux de collecte des d\u00e9chets et permettra de r\u00e9duire les fuites de plastique et autres d\u00e9chets vers les fleuves Tanga et l'oc\u00e9an.<\/li><li>Il \u00e9tablira une approche d'\u00e9conomie plus circulaire pour g\u00e9rer les ressources et les d\u00e9chets et cr\u00e9era des emplois locaux en impliquant les communaut\u00e9s locales, r\u00e9duira les impacts n\u00e9gatifs sur le climat et prot\u00e9gera les ressources naturelles.<\/li><li>COPIP propose \u00e9galement des mesures de gestion durable des d\u00e9chets dans le nouveau port. L'intervention conduira donc \u00e0 un environnement propre et sain en r\u00e9duisant les quantit\u00e9s de plastique rejet\u00e9es dans la mer et en r\u00e9duisant le risque de contamination de l'eau.<\/li><li>L'intervention contribuera \u00e9galement \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre de cadres politiques cl\u00e9s tels que le plan directeur de la ville de Tanga 2016-2036, le recyclage et le compostage SWM de Tanga (2014), les r\u00e9glementations sur la gestion de l'environnement (d\u00e9chets solides), 2009, la politique environnementale nationale (2007) et la Loi n\u00b0 20 de 2004 sur la gestion de l'environnement.<\/li><li>Il contribuera aux objectifs de Clean Oceans Initiative car le projet se concentrera sur la gestion des d\u00e9chets et les composantes eau et assainissement.<\/li><\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Tanzania, Tanga City Council, (TCC).
